 TNT "Tha Nasty Tone"

Who is he, and where did he come from? Those are the usual questions that come about, when his music and name is heard for the first time. He was born Tony Williams, in Harlem, New York. His mother told him much later in life, that she knew he was going to be special due to his date of birth 5/15 at 5:15 weighing in at 5lbs. 15 ounces.

T.N.T. fell in love with music at the age of 5, with his stepfather, a singer in various R&B groups, playing an influential role. Noticing his growing interest in music, his stepfather purchased a guitar for him to strum his own tunes. Groups like KISS, and Queen influenced his musical taste and brought him into the world of Rock N Roll. He was also heavily influenced by late 70’s Hip Hop and went on to form a rap group with his brother and cousin after relocating to Daytona Beach, FL. There in Daytona Beach he became known as one of the founders of the local Hip-Hop scene. Shortly thereafter, he then ventured off on his own to become a solo act, becoming one of the most feared MC's on the microphone. Disappointed by so many hopeless promises, T.N.T. took some time off to learn more about the business aspect of the industry. After becoming more in touch with the business aspect of the industry, and successfully raising a family, he rediscovered and regained his passion for Hip-Hop; a passion that just wouldn't die. With his passion and focus in tow, he started his own label Fresh Krush Entertainment. It was then that he released his classic album "Da Silva Tongue Devil."  With the acronym for this album being: Define All Sins In Lies Versus All Truth Over Negativity Give Us Every Dream Every Venture In Life.

More determined and focused than ever before, he became driven as his music began to separate him from the pack.  His word play is vivid and works to paint a picture in your mind, which makes you feel as though you're reading a classic novel. His style presents a plethora of ingredients, which blend together perfectly to satisfy the listener’s appetite, causing him to be nicknamed  "The Chef of Southern Fried Funk."

Throughout his solo career as a successful independent artist and label T.N.T. has opened for such acts as, Salt-N-Pepa, Heavy D & the Boyz, Kwame', D.J. Magic Mike, Starrpoint, Keith Sweat, B.B.D., Public Enemy, Johnny Kemp and L.L. Cool J. He was nominated for The Best Soul/Rap Award in 1993 at The Florida Jammy Awards and went on to win The 2007 Battle Rap Fest in Central Florida.
His music is a breath of fresh air and his style is comparable to none.
